A Prayer For Times When You Can't Go Back To Yesterday

Most Precious Lord Jesus, Gentle And Wonderful God, Truly Awesome And Ever-present Holy Spirit,
I want to go back to my yesterday's.
I want to go back to times when things were simpler, easier, and not so full of worries, fears, and uncertainties.
I want to go back to times when I was not so burdened down with the cares of my life.
Help me to turn my eyes away from yesterday and turn my eyes toward my great tomorrows in your Promised Land.
Remind me that in you and in your love all the best that could ever be is waiting for me.
Remind me instead of wishing I could go back, that greater blessings await me each hour as I live and trust in you.
Remind me not to feel sorrow over my present life, but to feel joy over the life I am about to inherit.
Remind me I am each day closer to fulfilling every dream, every hope, and every promise I could have ever dreamed, hoped, or embraced.
As I move forward in my life, show me I can build for my future even when my future looks dire and dark.
As I move forward in my life, show me I can build for my future because you are with me and with each breathe I take.
Inspire in me the ability to dream.
Inspire in me the ability to believe.
Remind me all things are possible.
Remind me many things are probable as I do your will each day.
Inspire me to see the needs of others before I would ever think of my own needs.
Inspire me to live in the spiritual world before I live in the physical world.
Inspire me to count my blessings as I help others on their way to counting their blessings.
Show me today is the most important day of my life.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can rely. Amen
