Precious Lord Jesus, I love you.
Keep me keeping on.
Keep me on track to do your will.
Keep me loving and kind.
Keep me compassionate for people who hurt.
Keep me growing and maturing to fulfill your destiny for me, your destiny carved out for me before time began.
I too often lack godly wisdom.
I too often make mistakes I know later I would not have made if I had followed your wise council.
In the future, tap me on the shoulder and make me ask you first what I should do instead of getting caught up in my own wisdom and my own ways.
What I will try to always do is believe and not doubt.
When I doubt, I can feel my life ebb and flow, as if I am on shifting sand.
Let me show your wisdom to others by being a good person, by leading a good life, and by doing good deeds in humility.
Let me forever turn away from bitter envy.
Let me forever turn away from selfish ambition.
Let me forever turn away from boasting.
Let me forever turn away from denying the truth.
Show me how envy, selfish ambition, boasting, and denying the truth are ungodly ways of living.
Show me your wisdom from heaven.
Show me your heavenly wisdom full of purity, peace, love, consideration, submission, mercy, fruitfulness, impartiality, and sincerity.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can rely.
