Previous Daily Devotional Job 19:25 26 "I know that my Redeemer lives, and that in the end he will stand upon the earth. And after my skin has been destroyed, yet in my flesh I will see God;" About Jobs classic statement of faith Job made a classic statement of faith when everything in his life had been destroyed and everyone had died. All this pain and suffering, along with his own physical suffering, had been put upon him at the hands of Satan. However, Job did not know the source of the pain and suffering. Job just had faith in our super-good God. He believed that God was alive, and good, and was looking out for him. Job had faith that God was not the person who delivered the blows but instead was the person who would redeem him and restore him. Job could look over the horizon into the future and see Christ and see himself viewing God. Job said all this at a moment of tremendous devastation and trauma. You can have Jobs faith if you want it. You can have it right now. You can depend upon it because Jobs faith is fact. |
