A view of God Joshua 1:5 No one will be able to stand up against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you. (NIV) We have all had times in our life when things, circumstances, and situations crumbled. There are times in our lives when adversity is poured upon adversity. In these times we need Job's patience and the wisdom of knowing that good always wins and evil always loses. When we look at the world it may seem evil is winning. In some respects, in the world, evil is gaining momentum but evil cannot stand against God. Evil cannot stand against the good and wonderful Light of God Almighty. When we are under attack personally, under attack as a nation, or under attack as a faith, we must recommit our lives to Christ. We may not see any earthly benefit to our recommitment. We may not see earthly results in the defeat of evil. However, we must remember there is a heavenly view of all things. We must remember when we see Jesus face to face we will be able to see things as He can see things now. It is this God-view of all things, this God-view of life, this God-view of the minute details and the grand scheme of history that keeps the Lord's fire burning within us. We can all possess a tiny glimpse of this God-view in the here and now if we will just spend our lives resting in the Lord's embrace. We can all have a tiny glimpse of this God-view in the here and now if we will trust Him to lead, guide, and direct our every thought, word, and deed. |
