About
actually meeting God…

John 4:16
And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives
in love lives in God, and God in him. (NIV)
We
are all in His love, but do we live in His love? Do we experience His love? Do
we feel His love? Do we revel in His love? Ideas and theology are fine. However,
no mental or intellectual experience is the same as meeting God in Christ's
love.
Therefore,
meet God right where you are. You don’t have to go anywhere to meet Him. In
addition, unlike most people, He will accept you just as you are. Open the door
to your heart. Invite Him in.
We
miss meeting God because we are too busy with our
things and we forget about His things.
God is always available 24/7. He is never sleeping. He is never out of the
office. He will never put you off or put you on hold. He is never too busy to
sit down and talk. How you meet with God is not so much a mystery as it is a
challenge to put aside your life in favor of the life He wants for you. Your
meeting with God takes no preparation. You don't need to introduce yourself. God
knows you better and knows more about you than you could ever know about
yourself.
When
you meet God remember He is love. When you meet Him you are meeting the finest,
purest, greatest love that could ever be. When you meet God, be assured you are
accepted and loved just as you are, right where you are. Even with your spots,
blemishes, mistakes, and sin, God loves you more than you could ever know or
describe. When you meet God, if you let Him, He will wrap His love around you,
He will enfold you, and He comfort you until you see Him face to face in Heaven.
