Previous Daily Devotional About answers that uplift Psalms 20:1 May the LORD answer you when you are in distress; may the name of the God of Jacob protect you. (NIV) When we are alone with our thoughts and our hope is gone, we look up and ask God where He is or why He has left us by ourselves. It is in these times of darkness that His gentle and loving voice fills our heart if we open our heart up to Him. For when we question God's motives or seek answers regarding His wisdom, He is already within us trying to lift us out of the darkness. Every answer to every question we could ever ask is rooted in love and that love lifts our hearts. Every answer to every question we could ever ask brings us closer to knowing the power of His love. Our questions are too often centered upon ourselves instead of upon God. Instead of asking God to help us, we must remember the greatest help comes to those who ask God to help others. In love and through love, we are lifted up. When we focus not upon ourselves but upon others, there is an uplifting power that is God's love that brings His grace pouring down over us. When we find His answers about selfless devotion to Him, we find an uplifting power that sails our heart, mind, and soul across the cosmos and into His kingdom within us. When we find answers about His presence we find these answers show us the way into His kingdom rather than showing us how to dodge and weave our way around the worldly stuff of life here on earth. |
