the appearing of God’s glory… Luke
2:6 And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that
she should be delivered. 7 And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped
him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room
for them in the inn. (KJV) Psalm
26:8 I love the house where you live, O Lord, the place where your glory dwells.
(NIV) Upon the day of Christ's birth, God was brought near to us from far away. What was also brought near to us was God's glory. Although we rejected Him and crucified Him, God was merciful and Christ came back to us so we would still be able to touch His glory, even in a small way. In the temple of our heart, Christ's love and glory can live and grow. In the temple of every heart, God brought forth His Son in humble glory to bless us and give us the glory of eternal life. God's glory in the form of His radiance, His power, and His majesty came to us all at one time in the form of the baby Jesus. The appearing of God's glory in the form of the baby Jesus changed the course of human history for all time. The appearing of God's glory in the form of baby Jesus can change the course of every heart when that heart accepts the glory of Christ as Savior and Lord. Even when the darkness attacks us and we may be lost, the appearing of God's glory and Light will, if we are willing, show us the way. Always, unmistakably, and invariably, we find the way out of our being lost is Jesus because Jesus and His glory is the way.
