Previous Daily Devotional About asking and receiving in prayer Matthew 21: 22 If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer." (NIV) The word "receive" means usher in or welcome. When you believe, that is, when you TRULY believe, you open your heart and soul. When you truly believe, you open your total being and you let the full power of God into your life. True belief, causes your will to diminish and His will to increase. When, how, where, and by what means a prayer gets answered are no longer important because believing is the main focus of your faith. Believing, opening up, and ushering in are key spiritual steps in that order. Believing is the most important step and comes before all things. Consequently, your belief creates contact with God. Your contact with God turns the belief into reality. What you ask for in prayer changes or you accept the beauty of Gods will as you pray. |
