Previous Daily Devotional About asking for what cannot be asked… John 16:23 In that day you will no longer ask me anything. I tell you the truth, my Father will give you whatever you ask in my name. (NIV) All of us have wants and needs. Our wants and needs bring the pavement of the road we walk upon up against our feet. With human beings, we can ask others for many things but we are more often silent in our asking because human beings cannot always deliver what we truly want. Human beings cannot always help us with many issues. Human beings cannot always console us in our grief. Human beings cannot always take away our pain. Human beings cannot always make our dreams come true. In our walk for Christ, we often remain silent and do not ask for what we want and need because He knows what we want and need. When you speak to Christ, in total truth and honesty, ask Him for what you know is in His will and you will receive it. In God's infinite power and infinite love, He will always, always, always deliver to you both what you need and what you ask of Him.
