John 1:7 He came as a witness to testify concerning that light, so that through him all men might believe. 8He himself was not the light; he came only as a witness to the light. 9The true light that gives light to every man was coming into the world. (NIV)

The bonding of our relationships adds great substance to our lives. The person’s we take for granted, like our friends and family, can, in Christ, give us contact with the love that God is. When we have friends and family members who are not Christians or who are not humble children of God, we must seek out those persons in our church or faith community who show His love, caring and compassion. Most important of all, even if we are the only Christian among our friends or family, we must let His light shine out of us and out of our lives. Our need for Christian fellowship is important, but that need is not as important as Christ’s need for us to be His witness and show His Light in a darkened world.
