Previous Daily Devotional About being acknowledged by Christ… Matthew 10:32 "Whoever acknowledges me before men, I will also acknowledge him before my Father in heaven. (NIV) Are you ashamed of Christ? Are you ashamed to speak about Him? Are you hesitant to speak about Him? Are you afraid to speak about Christ because you might be embarrassed, rejected, or humiliated as a result of speaking about Him? Are you more comfortable with keeping silent about Christ? These are hard questions. These hard questions are designed to ping your conscience and ping your soul into evaluating how much you are really and truly willing to acknowledge Christ before others. All of us need to profess our faith before others in some way. All of us need to profess our faith in words, profess our faith in action, and profess our faith in our soul 24/7 365 days a year. We must not acknowledge our faith and our love for God so we will be rewarded by God. We must acknowledge our faith and our love for God with no thought of receiving a reward until we see Christ face to face. In being His "acknowledgers", we are not all teachers, preachers, or evangelists. However, in being His "acknowledgers", we are all servants and in our servitude, we must always acknowledge Christ. The magnitude of our acknowledgement of Christ and His acknowledgement of us is greater than the universe. Our acknowledgement of Christ may bring us pain, suffering, persecution, even death in the world, but His acknowledgement of us brings eternal and heavenly rewards for us.
