About our being called to be free…

Galatians 5:13 You, my brothers, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the sinful nature; rather, serve one another in love. (NIV)

As difficult as it is to do, we are to express our love for Christ…in all ways and in all things. As temptation places you in shackles and tortures you because of your love for Christ, even in chains you can assert and claim freedom from the bondage of sin. You are free in Christ, no matter what your earthly circumstances might be. In your freedom in Christ, God pleads with you to serve and love others rather than yourself. In freedom coming from Christ, you do not suffer from dark shadows lurking over your heart like persons who do not love Him. In your freedom in Christ, you can and must share His light and love with others who are in the darkness.
