calling a time out for victory… Psalms
3:5 I lie down and sleep; I wake again, because the LORD sustains me. 6 I will not fear the tens of thousands drawn up
against me on every side. (NIV) Time out is called in sporting events to recoup and regroup. In our life, we too often get so involved in what is around us at the moment (the trees) we fail to actually see and take in what is around us (the forest). We are so often besieged from every side we have no way of really seeing what is just in front of us. We often need to call a time out to assess where we are and where we are going. We often need to call a time out to talk to God in prayer about how things are going at the moment. We often need to call time out to reflect on God’s blessings and wonders. We often need to call a time out to see how we can gain an advantage over the opponent who wants to see us wallow in defeat. During a time out we can make new plans, set new agendas, and think about new ways of doing things.
