(NIV) Where would you be without Christ in your life? People who do not have Him wander around in their life from place to place as if they are lost…because they are lost. With Christ, you are never lost. With Christ, you may stumble and fall or even lose your way for a brief time. However, with Christ, you will always know the way…sooner or later He will help you find your way home. In your daily struggles, your human ego and pride are fed daily by the darkness of the world. However, between you and the world stands Christ, whose nail scarred hands attest to what is truly important in your life. With Christ, you always have a genuine purpose for living…an eternal purpose to do His humble work. When you do not have Christ, all you have is your own purpose, a purpose not much larger than yourself…a purpose that only has a life span of just your life. With Christ, you may hear the clang and clamor of the world, but you do not want to hear the worldly sounds, for you hear His beautiful music flowing down from Heaven. With Christ, the hurts in your heart formed long ago can be erased when you follow Christ's advice and forgive those who hurt you. With Christ, your angry and hurting heart that still stings from yesterday's injustice is eased. The stings of your heart are eased and you find His peace because you let His love touch you and you are able to forgive. With Christ, your heart that would otherwise be weak is made strong as you listen to Him speak your name. |
