Previous Daily Devotional About certainty beyond hope… Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. (NIV)We have hope but hope wavers from between being a little wisp of nothing to being so sure we can almost see what we hope for with our physical eyes. For those of us who live for Christ, there is a greater hope in life. Over time, our greater hope is transformed from only a hope into a certainty. In our certainty, we are sure God loves us, looks out for us, and we are sure Christ died for us. In our certainty, we are not a little sure. We are not almost sure. We are not pretty sure. We are not sort of sure. In our certainty, we are so sure Christ died for us and that He lives in our heart we no longer question or doubt. We do not just hope, for we are certain. Our certainty burns in us and illumines our lives so there is no way for the darkness to live in us. We praise God for His love and mercy on which our certainty is based. We do not question. We do not doubt. We are certain. |
