Previous Daily Devotional About Christ and your pain… Isaiah 53:3 He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows, and familiar with suffering. Like one from whom men hide their faces he was despised, and we esteemed him not. (NIV) Jesus knows what you experience. Jesus knows what your pain is like. Because Jesus knows, He is with you. Jesus was a man of sorrows. Jesus, although not with us at this moment in His bodily form, knows all too well what the pain of your life is like. Jesus is not in some far away place. Jesus is not remote. Jesus is not far off. Jesus is within your heart every second you are alive. Jesus is always tenderly calling you and beckoning you to turn to Him and be with Him. We handle our times of pain by often wanting Jesus to come to us. What we must remember is Jesus is already with us and all we need to do is be with Him. We can be with Christ by simply turning our heart, mind, and soul over to Him. We can be with Christ in every circumstance, even in our pain, by simply turning away from the darkness of this world and turning toward His light of love and healing. We know Jesus wept over the plight of people. You must also know He weeps with you. Jesus wept over the lost nature of His children. You must also know He weeps when you are lost. Jesus wept over the sin devastating a person’s life. Jesus also weeps when you sin and when your sin devastates your life. Jesus wept over the weakness of His people. Jesus also weeps when you grow weak. However, Jesus is not content to just weep with you or for you. He is a man and spirit of power ready to pour His power down upon you any moment if you would but just ask.
