Christ and your sorrow… Exodus 3:7 The Lord said, "I have
indeed seen the misery of my people in Egypt.
I have heard them crying out because of their slave drivers, and I am concerned
about their suffering. (NIV) So called “human wisdom” is wrong about many things. Human wisdom is wrong about how we handle sorrow. You might have heard the saying, “Smile and the whole world smiles with you, cry and your cry alone.” This saying and the wisdom it supposedly implies is wrong. What is wrong about this saying is that you never, ever, ever, cry alone. The reason you never cry alone is because the Lord is with you when you are in sorrow. You are never alone in your sorrow because God sees and understands your suffering. Sorrow, on some level, is a normal part of life. Some people experience more sorrow than others. Some people experience sorrow in their youth while others experience sorrow in their senior years. However, no matter who we are, sorrow is a part of living we cannot avoid. When you are in weeping and in sorrow, always know you are never alone. Always know when you are in sorrow Jesus understands and knows what you feel and how you feel. Jesus knows how you feel because He suffered just as you suffer. Jesus knows how you feel because He wept and He felt the same sorrow you feel. Because He grieved, He will always be with you in the depths of your grief. Because He suffered, He will always be with you to comfort you, uplift you, and guide you through every dark time you may ever face.
