anyone causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be
better for him to have a large millstone hung around his neck and to be drowned
in the depths of the sea. (NIV) Christ is calling you… Christ is calling you to do everything you can and more to protect the children in your life. Christ is calling you to protect the children rather than hurting them or letting them be hurt. Christ is calling you to their protection because your children are your future. Your children are your destiny. How you treat your children today will be how your children will treat you tomorrow. How you treat your children today will determine how your children treat you and treat your world in the days to come. When children need guidance, use Christ’s patience and wisdom to instruct them. When children are lonely, be a friend to them in the same way Christ is a friend to you. When children are hurting, be a comfort to them just as Christ comforts you. When children are lost, help them find their way just as Christ helps you find your way. When children are threatened, intervene and stop the threat with power and force just as God intervenes with power and force for you. When children feel weak and helpless, encourage them and help them feel strong with a sense of Christ’s power and control. When children want to rebel against authority, help them have patience, understanding, and self-control just as Christ helps you have patience, understanding, and self-control. Christ is calling you now, won’t you listen and won’t you respond?
