Previous Christmas Daily Devotional About the gift of Christ's light of love… John 8:12 When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life." (NIV) The birth of Christ was the greatest manifestation of God's love. Christ is the light of the world and Christ came into the world so we would receive Him and be transformed by His light. As we celebrate His birth, He calls us to open our heart to His light of love for us. The gift of Christ's light of love can pierce any armor, erase any darkness, and break through any barrier. If we receive His gift as our personal Light, no physical, spiritual, or emotional burden can keep us from Him. If we are willing, His light of love will destroy every darkness in every part of our life. The light of His love illumines our mind with His wisdom. His beam of love turns our blindness into sight. His light of love brings us hope when we are lost and alone in the darkness. The light of His love helps us find our way home. The light of His love leads us to the joy of His birth.
