Christ’s eternal spring of life…
1 John 5:11
And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in
his Son. 12 He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God
does not have life. (NIV)
There
are times in life when it seems our cold and bitter days will never end. There
are times when our bleak days go on and on without stopping. However, with
Christ and because of Him, we can have an eternal spring. In the eternal spring
of Christ, even when we must live in times of pain, hurt, heartbreak, or
devastation, we can look forward to eternal newness, eternal love, and eternal
peace. In Christ, we can see the blossoming beauty of His eternal kingdom
waiting for us. In Christ, we can see His ever-present splendor as the substance
of all His heavenly realms. In Christ, we can see His eternal Light forever
giving us love and comfort…comfort in the here and now as well as comfort in
eternity. In Christ, we can see the beauty of His creation. In Christ, we can
see new life. In Christ, we can see and feel His joy in us. No matter how dark
the winter season of our life may be, we are not alone because He is always with
us. With Christ as our Savior and Lord, we can all look forward to a new time
just ahead. In the cold and winter-like days of our life we can all look forward
to Christ’s eternal season of spring.
