Previous Christmas Devotional About Christ’s star in the heavens… Psalms 19:1 The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. (NIV) Of all the stars in the heavens, of all the galaxies, planets, suns, and moons, there was no other star that penetrated the darkness like Christ’s star. His star in the east was a bright light against the backdrop of a dark night sky. His life was a bright light against the backdrop of eternal darkness. His star in the sky was used to lead others to Him. His life was used to lead others to Him and to His father in Heaven. When the wise men saw His star in the sky they followed in humble adoration. When people of our time see His great light they also follow in humble adoration. His star in the sky was the brightest star among millions of others. His life was the brightest life ever to be lived on earth. It was Christ’s star in the nighttime sky set against the Lord’s handiwork of other stars that endures with us to this day. It was Christ’s life set against the Lord’s flock He called Christ to save that endures with us to this day. Christ’s star in the sky was a star not seen before. Christ’s life was a life not seen before. His star in the sky caused others to bring Him gifts and adoration. His life causes us to bring Him the gift of our heart and the adoration of our soul. The mystery and majesty of His star in the sky caught the attention of His world. His life and death catch the attention of His world. His star in the sky was a creation of God made in love. Christ Jesus was a creation of God made in love.
