About Christ’s yoke and burdens…

Matthew 11:30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." (NIV)

Make no mistake about it. There is a yoke you must take upon you to be one of Christ’s children. However, the burden of always doing the right thing in the eyes of God is a very light burden compared to doing the wrong thing in the eyes of God. The burden of doing the wrong thing is devastating. The burden of doing the wrong thing in the eyes of God is devastating to the heart, soul, mind, spirit, and body. The burden of doing the right thing in God’s eyes is uplifting, inspiring, victorious, and healing. In every facet of life, even in the spiritual realm of life, there often is a price to pay for being righteous and holy. However, the price you pay for being righteous and holy is nothing compared to the benefit of seeing Christ in Heaven. Although the yoke of Christ may seem heavy at first, stand firm and you will find you are lifted up. For in Christ and under His yoke, your eyes can see forever. Under His yoke, your heart will be mended and your sorrows made less. Under His yoke, every defeat will be turned into His glorious victory. Under His yoke, every lonely moment is assuaged by His loving presence and power.
