About
the consequences of always stopping to listen…
Psalm 46:10 "Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted
among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth."
(NIV)
What
if we never stopped to listen to God's still small voice?
If
we never stop to listen to God…we can spend hours, days, even years in prayer
but we miss His guidance, we even miss Him, if we never stop to listen to His
still small voice.
If
we never stop to listen to God…we can go to God wanting what we want but never
wanting what He wants.
If
we never stop to listen to God…we can expect our wants and needs to be met our
way not His way.
If
we never stop to listen to God…we can, after awhile, lose faith when things do
not work out like we want.
If
we never stop to listen to God…we can miss all the power and wisdom of God in
the here and now.
If
we never stop to listen to God…we can miss all the glory, peace and love of
God in the here and now
When
we stop to listen, we can actually know God in all His fullness, radiance and
love.
When
we stop to listen and we do listen, we begin a real-life, real-time conversation
with our Creator, and with our Lord and Savior.
