About counting the cost…

Luke 14:28 "Suppose one of you wants to build a tower. Will he not first sit down and estimate the cost to see if he has enough money to complete it? 29For if he lays the foundation and is not able to finish it, everyone who sees it will ridicule him, 30saying, `This fellow began to build and was not able to finish.' (NIV)

All the seconds of your life are supported by the power of God. To make your life blossom, Christ came to earth and gave His life so your life can extend into the eternal beauty of Heaven. When you believe or think you are alone in this life, Christ is with you. Christ is with you even when you do not sense Him being there. The guiding hand of Christ is upon you each second and He will guide you if you turn your will towards Him. Each of us has moments of blindness when all we sense and all we see is our life without the touch of God. Often we lack spiritual understanding, but we must exert ourselves to remain with Christ by faith. Our comprehension and perception of God is sometimes grounded in mystery yet we must use our spiritual muscle and believe. We must exert ourselves and believe and remain faithful because we love Him and we know in our heart that He loves us. We know what Christ expects of us if we confront His truth in his word and in His touch on our heart. Even when we do not know the future, His love is enough. In our moments of anxiety about our life or future, we can still have confidence we can face the future without knowing the future. We must be willing to count the cost of our faith and then knowing the cost be willing to pay any price, even life itself, to remain a humble child of our Savior. We maintain our faith through trust in Christ. Each day we make an investment of trust in Him because we know He invested His whole life on the Cross for us. There are times when Christ does not show us the future for He knows our faith is fragile and we would break from the fear. Whether we can see into the future or not, we know Christ calls us to humbly accept His love, and His love is enough for us now and in the days to come. The price we pay to remain in the faith is paid back to us in this life and in our eternal life to come. In this life, we receive back moments of His joy and peace. In the life to come, we receive eternal joy and peace.
