Previous Daily Devotional About courage to know the truth… 1 Corinthians 16:13 Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be men of courage; be strong. (NIV) It
often takes enormous courage to see, face, and know the truth. However, for
those of us who have accepted Christ as our Lord and Savior, we do
have the courage to see, face, and know the truth. The truth we must face about
our life in the here and now can be devastating. However, the truth we must know
about our life in heaven erases any earthly devastation visited upon us. In a
world gone astray, we can often find it difficult to discover the truth from a
lie. However, there is a truth in our world giving us an eternal hope. The truth
of eternal hope is this…God loves you so much He sent His only Son to die for
you. Even this truth about God requires courage from you because to accept
Christ you must know the truth about yourself. In every part of your life,
courage to know the truth has a pay-off or benefit. The pay-off or benefit of
knowing the truth is freedom from the imprisonment of lies and distortions. |
