About embracing faith…
1
Peter 1:8 Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not
see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and
glorious joy, 9 for
you are receiving the goal of your faith, the salvation of your souls. (NIV)
People have spent
their entire lives searching for the secret ingredient of life. Most often, the
secrets of life we seek are not really secrets at all. Most often, the secrets
of life we seek are right before us. One of the most profound secrets of life
that is not a secret is related to faith. To have a faith that is alive, living
and vibrant within you, embrace faith with all of your heart, mind, and soul.
The skeptic who has no faith gains nothing at all in life except the
satisfaction of being a skeptic. To have faith that is alive and productive,
wrap your heart, mind, and soul around God. Accept faith as wispy, inanimate,
and small but also accept that you need very little of this wispy, inanimate,
and small thing called faith to move mountains in your life. To have faith that
is alive and productive, stop expecting results from
God and start producing results for
God. Because when you see God and see Jesus face to face, you will find out what
you did for God was vastly more important than what God did for you.
