Previous Daily Devotional About facing death… 1 Corinthians 15:55 "Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?" (NIV) Many people, because of their life circumstances, face the prospect of their death. However, there is a great "however." There is a great exception word stamped on our reality when we accept Christ. For those persons who accept Christ, there is no such thing as death. In your life, the person you are, the person you are who thinks, feels, hopes, dreams, weeps, and laughs…that person can live forever in Christ. It is human to fear death. Death is a great unknown. However, there is beyond death a great new reality called heaven. When you face death, you have no reason to fear if you have Christ alive and living in your heart. If you have Christ living and alive within your heart, your future is absolutely certain and your future rests in a place called Paradise where there is no suffering and no pain. In Paradise there is only joy and happiness forever. When you accept the reality of heaven just ahead, every moment of your present takes on a new and great dimension. When you accept your future reality is indeed in heaven, you will shout the victory and say "Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?" |
