Previous Daily Devotional This Devotional Is Part Of A Special Continuing Series Related To Dependency And Co-dependency Issues. Rules Of Godly Common Sense Apply. About feeling bored, empty, and worthless if you don't have a crisis in your life… Matthew 6:34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. (NIV) It seems some people live for trouble. It is as if some people are addicted to trouble. Some people are so addicted to trouble, if there is no trouble, they create or invent trouble. Persons who have this issue feel their life is empty if "something isn't going on" and "something going on" refers to trouble or some kind of chaos. Within each of us is a central core we call the soul or spirit. In our heart, mind, and soul we all want a full life. God gives each of us the power and ability to fill our life with whatever we choose. For people with this emptiness kind of dependency/co-dependency issue, the emptiness in their life is filled with trouble and chaos. If we feel bored, empty, or worthless, we have a God who understands us and we also have a God who wants us to fill our life with His love and power. If we fill our life with God's love and power, we are energized, we are fulfilled, and we know we have a magnificent self-worth in Christ. God wants us living and walking His path in peace and contentment because each day has enough trouble of its own without our inventing trouble to fill our emptiness.
