Previous Daily Devotional About
fellowship with the Light of Christ… 2 Cor. To lead holy and devout lives, we cannot be tied together with sin or sinners and expect to have changed hearts and changed lives. Being a holy and devout person by living a life for Christ and Him only can be incredibly difficult. The road we walk for Christ is not an easy road. In walking this road for Christ we need the fellowship of others who think like we do and believe like we do. Although we never walk Christ’s road alone because He is with us, we still need the care, support, and companionship of other Christians to walk with us. In living a holy and devout life for Christ, we must make special efforts to separate the good influences from the bad influences in our life. We must make every effort to associate with other believers as much as humanly possible. We must make every effort to not be dependent upon others, especially others who are unbelievers. We must be careful to never be physically or emotionally enslaved to anyone for any purpose. When you are dependent upon an unbeliever, you will most likely be pulled down. When you are a new person in Christ, remember you are the person who has the power of God within your life. As a new person in Christ, you must make every human effort to no longer be emotionally dependent upon unbelievers. Oil and water do not mix. You cannot walk on both sides of the street at the same time. You cannot walk on the sinful side of the street and on the righteousness side of the street at the same time. It is critical you fellowship with the Light of Christ in all ways and at all times. When we fellowship with other believers, we fellowship with Him as we walk His narrow path.
