About finding peace through holiness…
Hebrews 12:14 Make every effort to live in peace with all men and to be holy; without
holiness no one will see the Lord. (NIV)
Many influences of life separate us from God. When we are worried and full of doubt,
life seems to have defeated us. However, we are defeated by life only because we have let
ourselves be separated from God and His love. When we do not live with peace in our heart,
we do not see God or feel His presence within us. When are caught up in waging war against
our enemies, we are not next to God. For when we are next to God, our heart is at peace
and we do not want war. When our heart is filled with anger, God is far away. When we seek
God, we cannot find Him if we have anger in our heart and mind. To have Christ living and
alive in our heart, we must seek His touch to heal us from the wounds and hurts we suffer.
The touch of God helps us resolve conflicts and difficulties. The touch of God helps us
persevere when the path of our life gets difficult to walk. Our earnestness in prayer in
the face of hardships helps us to stay strong. When we are persecuted, wronged, or
slighted, we must remain holy and next to God for if we do not remain holy in the face of
persecution, the persecutors have won. When we remain holy and devout in spite of all the
attacks of darkness against us, Christ wins and we win.
