About finding your life…

Titus 3:3 At one time we too were foolish, disobedient, deceived and enslaved by all kinds of passions and pleasures. We lived in malice and envy, being hated and hating one another. 4 But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, 5 he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, 6 whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior, 7 so that, having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life. (NIV)

You may not lose your life physically, but you can feel like you have died even when your body is still functioning. There can be as many different reasons why we think we have lost our inner life as there are people. Most often, when we lose jobs, careers, opportunities, loved ones, or close friends, a part of our life seems to be taken from us. When we experience terribly deep depression we can also feel there is no life within us. In these times when life within us seems gone we must remember God is not gone. When we feel dead inside, we must remember the kingdom of God is within us and the kingdom of God is where God lives. We must remember the kingdom of God within us does not just blank out or disappear within us. We must remember the kingdom of God and God Himself is always, always, always living and alive within us. In life's darkest moments we can stop the deadness within us by also remembering God is love and there is a light of love within us every minute. The pain of the present moment can be lessened if we take our burdens to Christ who also lives within us. When Christ walked upon the earth He brought healing and wholeness. As the light of the world, Christ brought to us the message of always being able to find hope in God and hope in life. With Christ alive within you, the pain of life's circumstances may still produce pain or hurt within you. However, the love of Christ is greater than any pain you could ever feel. The love of Christ can erase even the greatest pain you feel. Christ came to earth to bring you healing love that takes away the pain of this world. Christ came back from death to bring you healing love so you will have hope for now and a hope for eternity. Christ sent a part of Himself back to us in the form of the Holy Spirit to bring you His healing love. There is no time in your life, no matter what you might think, feel, or believe, that is beyond the touch of God.
