About gaining the future…

2 Corinthians 5: 17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! (NIV)

You can turn what is rotten in your life into something good and glorious for God. You can turn what is ugly and terrible in your life into something beautiful for God. You may not be able to change the physical nature of the way things are in your life. You may not be able to change where you are. You may not be able to change your obligations. You may not be able to change anything about your life except one part of your life. The part of your life you can change is the person who lives within you. Within the love of God, when you change the person within you, what is rotten in your life can easily be changed into something good and glorious. Within the love of God, when you change the person within you, what is ugly and terrible in your life can easily be changed into something beautiful for God. Within the love of God, when you change the person within you, you can easily change the way you see and interact with the physical nature of the way things are in your life. Within the love of God, when you change the person within you, you can easily change the way you see and the way you use where you are at the moment. Within the love of God, when you change the person within you, you can easily change your obligations into opportunities. And how do you change the person within you? Within the love of God, you change the person within you by fully giving away all you are to Christ. Within the love of God, you change the person within you by fully giving away the person within you to Christ. You can change the person within you because God wants you to surrender and to give to Him all of your life, all your hopes, all your dreams, and all you have ever been in the past. It is at the moment when you give to God all of your life that God gives back to you a whole new person in return. It is at the moment when you kneel before Christ hanging upon the cross, fully accepting you put Him there, openly begging His forgiveness, fully surrendering up to Him all you are, that He immerses you in love and compassion. And when He immerses you in His love and compassion He also gives you so much more. He gives to you a new life, a new person, a new present, a new tomorrow, a new eternity, a new inner beauty, and new obligations.
