Previous Daily Devotional This Devotional Is Part Of A Special Continuing Series Related To Dependency And Co-dependency Issues. Rules Of Godly Common Sense Apply. About getting confused too often… 1 Thessalonians 5:8 But since we belong to the day, let us be self-controlled, putting on faith and love as a breastplate, and the hope of salvation as a helmet. (NIV) We can get confused for many reasons. In today's world, with so many pressures, changes, and technological developments, it is no wonder we get can confused. However, many people live in a continual state of confusion because of the way they live their life. Many people live a life of chaos, a life without the calmness of order. As Christians, we are to live a life that is orderly, calm, and resolute. We are to take on new challenges with optimism and courage. We are not to live a fractured life. We are to live a life of wholeness and wholesomeness. We are to be self-controlled and self-disciplined. All of us are sinners but we are to come against sinful influences in our life. When we look at why people lead disorderly and chaotic lives, we can often see how sinfulness in some form or another is at the root of a person's chaotic life. With Christ walking with us every hour, we can be self-controlled and self-disciplined. |
