Previous Daily Devotional

We have all tasted defeat. We have all had times when we lost. We have all been turned down, turned away, rejected, or beaten down. From superficial appearances, when someone breathes their last breath of life, it would seem that person has lost and so have we. However, we can say, with glory and excitement, with Christ we have not lost but won. Although there will come a time when our body may not be animated and no longer working, upon our physical death the substance of our life soars up to heaven in glorious victory. Because Christ gave His life for us, in our seeming defeat we call death there is victory…in our seeming loss there is gain…in our seeming rejection there is acceptance…in our being turned away we are brought in…in our hurt there is comfort…in our darkness there is hope eternal.
