About the glory of God…

Psalms 115:1 Not to us, 0 Lord, not to us but to your name be the glory, because of your love and faithfulness. (NIV)

Exodus 34:29 When Moses came down from Mount Sinai with the two tablets of the testimony in his hands, he was not aware that his face was radiant because he had spoken with the Lord. (NIV)

Where we look in life often determines what we are like, who we are, where we go, and how we see the world. Where we look, and how we direct our inner vision determines whether we are going to be happy or devastated. How can we look at a world the shape our world is in and feel positive? The only way we can feel positive in a negative world is by looking to the Lord and seeing Him first above all other people and things. When He is first, when we see His face first when we get up in the morning, and we see His face last when we go to bed at night, what we see in the Lord will show up in our lives in remarkable ways. The face of Moses was radiant because he not only had seen God, but also because Moses was willing to respond to God’s call upon his heart. Because Moses was willing to climb to the top of Mt. Sinai , he was able to get a glimpse of God. By climbing to the top of Mt. Sinai , Moses glorified God and received some of God’s radiant glory in return. If Moses had ignored God’s call upon his heart, Moses would not have become radiant. In our life, every moment of our life, God calls us to look up and see His glory and when we see His glory we become radiant in return.
