Previous Daily Devotional About God being bigger than hopelessness… Ephesians 1:18 I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, 19 and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is like the working of his mighty strength, … (NIV) Most people have times in life when they think they have no hope. However, if we moved back from the time of our seeming to have no hope and we could see our time of hopelessness like God sees it, we would see the folly of our thinking. We are foolish to think at any point in our life that we have no hope. If there is one major lesson we should learn from Christ coming to earth, this lesson is that our hope for the future extends into eternity. The hope we can have for the future is so immense, so dramatic, so beautiful, so full of promise, and so full of reward, no words can describe what is in store for us. We have momentary problems that demand we attend to these problems for the moment. However, our momentary problems are only for the moment. Our problems are only for the present minute. When we take an eternal view of our momentary problems we can see the truth about our life now and in the future. Our present pain, worry, and problems melt away when we see our life in eternity. The beauty and grandeur of Heaven are so powerful, the beauty and grandeur of Heaven pour so much light and love over us, even the deepest darkness has have no power to defeat us. |
