Previous Christmas Devotional About
God made visible… Matthew
5:16 In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your
good deeds and praise your Father in heaven. (NIV) On the first Christmas, God became visible. Because Jesus, who was God, became visible, each of us who accept Him into our heart has a special mission in life to give His love to others. When Christ ascended back into Heaven He gave each of us a special mission to keep His life and memory alive by whatever means we can devise. Celebrating Christmas is one of the ways we use to keep His memory alive. As much as we can, we are to use Christmas to keep Him visible in the world. It is not important whether we are able to see Him with our physical eyes. What is important is we keep giving to others the same love He gave to us. His great gift of saving love transforms the life of every heart willing to take Him in. When you accept Christ, you become His missionary on earth until you die. When you accept Christ, Christmas means you celebrate His birth by giving and surrendering all you have and all you are to His great calling upon your life and heart. The testimony of your giving love is the testimony He needs others to see most often. The testimony of your giving love at Christmas or any other time is the testimony really and truly keeping Him before others on earth.
