Previous Daily Devotional About when God says "No" and we must trust Him Psalm 31:15 My times are in your hands; deliver me from my enemies and from those who pursue me. 16 Let your face shine on your servant; save me in your unfailing love. (NIV) God has plans and purposes for your life. God's plans and purposes for your life may not be your plans and your purposes. You may not always know with certainty what God wants for you and from you. You may go to God in prayer and beg and plead for answers that never come or when the answers come, God says "No." When we receive God's "No" answer, we must then put our life into His hands and remember He loves us beyond measure. When we receive God's "No" answer, we must remember His plans and His purposes are more important than our own. For if we demand our own way that is not His way, then His plans and purposes for our life might not be fulfilled. Living fruitfully and fully with God's "No" answers and our willingness to be humble, enables us to do God's will, enables us to fit into His plans, and enables us to fulfill His purposes. We may not like His answers. We may not like His plans for we may have plans that are more pleasing to us. We may not like His purposes for us for we may have our own purposes. However, if we want His peace, His love, and His compassion then we must accept His answers, whether we like His answers or not. |
