About when God says "No" with compassion Psalm 86:15 But you, O Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness. (NIV) We must remember when God says "No" to us, He says the negative word with compassion. He knows what breaks our heart and He does not break our heart on purpose. When the "No" word comes from God, He does not deliver His answer to us as if He does not like us or love us. For every time He says the "No" word to us, it is a time of His putting His arm around our shoulder and comforting us. The Lord's compassion is unending. His compassion is without limits. When it comes time to give you His negative answer, God feels the hurt you feel. However, in God, there is His ultimate plan, His ultimate purpose, and His ultimate hope. When it seems God has abandoned you and left you alone because you need His hand to work for you and you are only receiving His "No" answer, or no answer at all, God is still with you, still beside you, and still within you. |
