About God within…

Luke 17:21 …the kingdom of God is within you." (NIV)

Matthew 13:44 "The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field. (NIV)
No other truth is more profound or mystifying than realizing God is within us. We say God is “up” in Heaven. In saying God is “up” in Heaven we imply God lives in the sky or in the outer reaches of our universe. However, if we want contact with God we will not find Him living on the edge of some far off galaxy. When we search for God, we need look no further than within us. When we want to find God, we will find Him living in our heart. When Jesus returned to God after His resurrection from the dead, Jesus floated up into the sky. When He returns to earth we expect Him to appear in the clouds. However, our contact point with God at this moment is within us. We cannot fully know or understand the interactions of our supernatural God and our natural world. What we do know is that God is just a prayer away. When we speak to God in our heart then our way of reaching Him is as simple as dialing His phone number within our heart. When we contact God within us, He appears to us faster than light can travel. Realizing God, realizing Jesus Christ the Son, and realizing the Holy Spirit are within your heart this instant is your greatest spiritual treasure.
