Previous Daily Devotional About God's discipline to strengthen our feeble arms and weak knees… Hebrews 12:12 Therefore, strengthen your feeble arms and weak knees. (NIV) We have all gone our own way too many times in our life. We all need self-discipline and self-control because we are weak in living a godly and righteous life. When we are selfish, we receive God's discipline. When we are selfish, God administers discipline upon us by removing His peace, love, and joy from our life. Of course, we do not like being disciplined. However, when we are wayward, disciplining us is the only way God has of teaching us to walk His path rather than our path. When we forgot about God, His presence will go away from us and we will become incredibly lonely. When we forget about God, adversity will follow us. Don't we already have enough adversity without being undisciplined against God? Without His presence, we can begin to think God does not love us or we can begin to think God does not exist at all. However, the Lord is always with us, even when we are not with Him. Every second of your life, Christ has been beside you, trying to guide you, trying to show you His way of living. To live His way takes discipline…His discipline. In receiving His discipline, we must always remember He disciplines us because He loves us.
