About God's hope beyond reason…
Romans 5:2 And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. (NIV)
When all your hope is gone, your human reason and common sense can tell you
to give up because there is no reason to hope. When your times look incredibly
bleak, your human reason and common sense can and often do tell you there is no
reason to hope. Your human reason can tell you there is an end to your life and
beyond the end, there is nothing. What we should know, but what we often deny,
is our human reason is often wrong. In your life, your human reason is wrong
about the times when it seems there is no hope. Your human reason is wrong
because there is never a time when hope is gone. Even in your darkest hour, even
in the hour just before you cross over in death, you have the power to embrace
the hope of eternal life. You have, if you will grasp it, an enormous hope for
life everlasting in Christ. Even at your darkest hour when you have lost someone
near and dear to you, you have hope beyond human reason to embrace their memory
and embrace their life…as a life never-ending in Christ. In our faith we all
know without having to reason, there is always hope…a hope that shall one day
become our reality either on earth or in Heaven above. With God, there is always
hope beyond reason. |
