God
does not want you to hurt. God does not want you to grieve. God understands your
hurt and grief. God knows your hurt and grief first-hand because He lost a Son
just as you might have lost someone you love or care for. In God's love and
grace, God can bring to you an insulation you can put between you and your
grief. God's insulation is a combination of His will and His love. God's
insulation helps keep out the pain, just like the insulation in your walls keeps
out the heat or cold. Opening up your heart to God's love is like taking off the
old plaster and wallboard so insulation can be installed. Opening up your heart
to God's love takes a lot of hard work in the form of trust and faith in God. To
begin the insulation process, try to understand fully God wants to be with you
when you grieve. God wants you to let Him be a part of your life right now. God
wants you to let Him walk with you and talk with you every day, even in your
pain of grief. God wants to come between you and your grief. His Holy Spirit was
sent back to be a real presence, in real time, in the real space in which you
live to help you live fully as you heal from the hurt of your loss.
