About God's voice of kindness…
John 10:4 When he has brought out all his own, he goes on ahead of them, and
his sheep follow him because they know his voice. 5 But they will never follow a
stranger; in fact, they will run away from him because they do not recognize a
stranger's voice." (NIV)
In all the pain, hurt, trials, and trauma of life, we need to hear a voice of
kindness. However, more than just hearing a voice of kindness, we need to
experience kindness rather than just hearing about kindness or hearing a voice
that gives kind words, kind advice, or kind assurance. When we hear God's voice
of kindness, we do hear more than a representation of what God thinks or feels.
When we hear God's voice of kindness, it is not just a voice we hear, for when
we hear God's voice of kindness, we experience kindness in its purest form.
God's voice is not mean or harsh. God's voice is kind when we need kindness
the most. When we are tired and irritable, when we are angry, when we are full
of pain, when we have been pushed to the limits of our ability to cope, there is
for us a wave of kindness floating down from Heaven. When we are prepared to
live in harmony with the kindness of God, we will hear or experience His
kindness. If we will open up our heart, surrender up our pain, give up all our
earthly expectations, and walk way from all we want from our earthly life, we
will hear God's kindness speak to us. We hear or do not hear God not because God
does not speak to us. We hear God's voice of kindness because we are willing to
hear His kindness sweep over us and immerse our hearts in kindness in our unkind
world.
