Previous Daily Devotional About Gods watching over us Psalms 68:13 Even while you sleep among the campfires, the wings of my dove are sheathed with silver, its feathers with shining gold. Our God is a caring God. He looks after us and upon us our whole lives. Many who read the verse from Psalms believe it is true that God has spread His love over us. However, in this life and in this reality we are attacked by the powers of the darkness and we often yearn to see God be more protective. We want God to keep all the enemies at a distance. We do not want cancer, or AIDS, or accidents, or death. When we think of God we must always think of God the infinite. We must take the long view of this verse and see us as a loved being who has a place in Gods infinity if we will but claim that place. In the long view, the great sufferings we must endure here in this time are nothing compared to the bliss and beauty God has stored up for us in Heaven. It is this long view that keeps all of us full of hope and joy. |
