About God’s wondrous spiritual beauty…

Psalm 119:18 Open my eyes that I may see wonderful things in your law.

The spiritual is a part of our reality but the spiritual is vague and sometimes unknowable. Although sometimes vague and sometimes unknowable, in the spiritual, in Christ, and in God’s love there are unsearchable riches. In our reality, we are all quite poor. No matter how much wealth a person has, there is never enough money to buy spiritual peace, love, joy, and happiness. There is never enough money to buy eternal life. The spiritual wisdom or spiritual riches within the law of God and the spiritual wisdom within the life and teachings of Christ are unlimited. The spiritual wisdom of God is applicable to any culture at any time. If Christ has not returned first, ten thousand years from now the spiritual wisdom of God will still be as applicable then as it is today. In God’s law and in Christ’s teachings we find a wondrous spiritual beauty found nowhere on earth or in earthly things. The wondrous spiritual beauty of God and Christ is beyond any measure of earthly or human standards. In our attempts to comprehend and express the beauty of God’s spiritual wisdom we try to use words of our language. However, words sometimes fail to describe what we most need to know and understand from God and about God. Yet even in the failure of our language, the words of God still give us life. Even in the failure of our language, the words of God give us the beauty of His wondrous spiritual wisdom and truth. The failure of our words to express what is in the spiritual is overcome by our faith. In faith, without knowing all there is to know, we believe. In faith, sometimes having only a tiny inkling of the existence of God, we accept Him and find eternal life. In faith, we find in God the most wondrous wisdom of all…that He loves us and cares for us as sinners…sinners who do not deserve His wondrous love or care.
