goofiness for victory… Psalms 126:2 Our mouths were filled with laughter, our tongues with songs of joy. Then it was said among the nations, "The LORD has done great things for them." 3 The LORD has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy. (NIV) There
are many ways of beating back the darkness and defeating the adversary. Perhaps
you do not believe there is an opposing force upon your life, but you still
can’t figure out why bad things happen. The truth is bad things happen
because THERE IS an opposing force upon your life. To live a victorious life in
spite of bad things happening, you have to come up with ways of defeating
what the opposing force or adversary does to defeat you. One of the ways the
adversary has of getting into your head and heart is to make you sick, depressed,
and feel defeated when you are actually winning. One of the objectives of the adversary is to make you focus only
on what is bad, negative, down, “doomerish”, and depressing. One of the
really great ways of counteracting or counter-attacking what the adversary does
is relishing in the truly goofy. The adversary has little defense against godly
joy and laughter. When you opt out of being on a downward spiral and opt in for
the truly goofy of the world, you have the adversary on the run. Be goofy. Think
goofy. Look for the goofy. In this goofy world, goofy is not hard to find.
