About having a heart in Heaven…

Luke 17:20 Once, having been asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, Jesus replied, "The kingdom of God does not come with your careful observation, 21 nor will people say, `Here it is,' or `There it is,' because the kingdom of God is within you." (NIV)

When your heart is broken, when disappointment reigns, and when depression pounds you into the ground there is hope and promise alive just for you. It would be so great to be able to get out of the dark times of our life by just taking our defeated heart and sending our heart to Heaven. What we often forget is we can do just that! We can send our heart to Heaven because Heaven is not far off. Heaven is within us. In the greatest mystery of all time, in the greatest mystery solved by only a few, Heaven can be found within your heart. For the greatest need in your life, a need to send your heart to Heaven, there is already an answer for your greatest need. In ways we cannot always understand, the beauty of God is already within us. In ways we cannot always understand, the love and healing power of God is already within us. In ways you may not always understand, you are never an orphan abandoned on the doorstep of the orphanage, because just inside the orphanage you have a friend…

…a friend who will always scoop you up in His arms

…a friend who will always love you

…a friend who will always take care of you

…a friend who will always forgive you when you make mistakes

…a friend who will always guide you when you do not the way

…a friend who will always understand you

…a friend who will always listen to you

…a friend who will always comfort you

…a friend who will always be beside you through thick and thin
