Previous Daily Devotional About having a more thankful heart… Ephesians 5:19-20 Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. (NIV) A thankful heart opens the gates of heaven. A thankful heart turns a few moments with God into timeless love and grace. A thankful heart is thinking about blessings God bestows upon you. A thankful heart worships God day and night. A thankful heart reflects upon God's wonders. A thankful heart meditates deeply upon the unfathomable riches of Christ's love. A thankful heart always tries to express the depth of gratitude you feel when you survey the work and wonders of God. When you pray, you should pray with a thankful heart. When you pray, you should pray for a thankful heart. When you are tested by the trials of life, a thankful heart builds in you a persevering heart and a heart always in renewal through Christ's love. In your state of renewal, you instinctively give thanks. In this world when you are caught up in the problems of the day, keep Christ in your presence by giving thanks. In this world when so much seems to come unraveled, although you may often be weak, you can be strong in your thankfulness and love for Christ. Although you may be weak, you can be steadfast in His sight by being thankful. |
