Previous Daily Devotional About having courage because, God is always with youMatthew 28:19 "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." (NIV) When you fear that a criminal will inflict pain upon you, then you instinctively know you must respect that persons power. God wants you to regard Him as your Father in heaven upon whom you can depend and trust. He wants you to lean upon Him and trust Him when you are afraid of darkness and evil. It was this desire to have you trust Him that inspired the words of Jesus cited above. |
